We kindly invite to the Modlin Fortress which is considered undoubtfully to be an unique tourist attraction of Nowy Dwor Mazowiecki. It is situated at the mouth of Narew into Vistula. The Swedish were the first who discovered its strategic and defensive values and in 1655-1656 they set up here first fortifications called Bugskansen. In 1806 Napoleon Bonaparte ordered to establish the fortress. In 1811-1812 it was build up this becoming one of the biggest in Europe.
